Inspiration

The Marivelle Ceiling Lamp started from an old garden peony opening in late spring, its soft petals folding over each other in loose layers, and the faded floral sundress that hung on the line beside it. One was the shape, the other was the pattern. We cut soft fabric into curved petals, plain or printed, layered them the way a peony opens, and set the bloom on a warm wooden canopy so it opens across the ceiling.

Model A, with plain pleated petals, is the cleaner, more modern choice for a bedroom or living room. Model B, with its tone-on-tone floral fabric, leans cottage and romantic, and suits a nursery or a French country dining room.

Is it bright enough to be the main light?

Yes. Four bulbs behind the fabric are enough to light a bedroom or living room of about 12 x 14 ft, with a soft, even glow instead of glare.

Can it go in a bathroom?

It is damp rated, so it can go in a bathroom or a covered outdoor area. Because the petals are fabric, choose a well-ventilated spot away from direct shower steam and rain.

Are bulbs included, and how is it installed?

Yes. It comes with four E26 or E27 bulbs in warm 3000K light. It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
