Every Docos base is shaped, glazed, and fired by artisans with decades of practice. We fire our stoneware to 1300°C — nearly twice the heat of standard ceramics — giving each piece the density of stone and the smoothness of jade. No two are identical. None of them are accidents.

Overall this is a great light. Build quality is decent, very easy to install and looks good. Its hard to find a good gold color that matches other hardware. This color matched the description and fills the room with light. It takes regular light bulbs which helps as well.

I got this for my small apartment and it is a nice little light for next to my bed where there was no room for a lamp of any kind.The low level of light is still quite bright. Works well so far and seems quite well constructed for the price.
