Tierelle Pendant Light

Inspiration

The Tierelle came from stacked fish traps and rice baskets left drying in the sun — vessels woven to a diameter, then set one on top of another because that is how they are stored. The stepped silhouette keeps that logic: three drums of split bamboo, each a little wider than the one above, with the weave left open enough to read as a made thing. Bamboo does something no solid shade can — it throws its own pattern across the ceiling once the light is on.

Three Bulbs, Real Room Light

A 3 × E27 cluster carries a whole room rather than sitting there as an accent. Warm 3000K LED bulbs included.

Which size should I pick?

Over a dining table, aim for a shade about half to two-thirds the table's width: the 23.6″ suits a standard 36–42″ table, the 19.7″ a small round table or nook. For a living room or open space, add the room's length and width in feet and use that number in inches — which usually lands on the 31.5″ or 39.4″.

What bulbs does it use, and are they included?

It takes 3 × E27 at 9W each, and 3000K warm white LED bulbs are included and replaceable. E27 is cross-compatible with the standard US E26 base, so US replacements thread right in.

Is it bright enough to be the only light in a room?

Usually yes. Three bulbs give warm general room light, enough for a dining room, living room, or bedroom on its own, and the open weave also casts shadow patterns on the ceiling and walls. Over a kitchen island, add under-cabinet or recessed light for prep work.

Can it go in a bathroom, and how do I clean the bamboo?

Indoor dry locations only — woven bamboo is not damp-rated, so avoid a bathroom where shower steam reaches it, and avoid outdoor or covered-porch use. Clean it dry: dust with a soft brush or a low-suction vacuum, never water or cleaners. The iron takes a dry cloth.
