The Cordelia is drawn from the pleated lampshades of a mid-century sitting room — cloth gathered into narrow folds, then cut at the hem into a soft scallop and bound with cord so the edge holds its wave. The wooden beads on the drop come from the same era of furnishing, where a cord was rarely left plain. Lit, the pleats read as a ring of light and shadow rather than a flat drum, and the scalloped hem keeps the bottom edge from looking cut.

Over a dining table, aim for a shade about half the table's width — the Large suits a standard 36–42″ table or a kitchen island, the Small a breakfast nook, bedroom, or small round table. Hang the bottom of the shade about 30–36″ (75–90 cm) above the surface; the cord adjusts up to 59″ (1.5 m) at install.
