In photos of swing separate rocker am the elbow joint hinge area is also anchored to the ceiling. Is there an option for the elbow hinge joint to just free-float suspended without a ceiling anchor there?

No, currently this is the only jib model available. If you do not require the steel cables, they can be removed; however, this would compromise the aesthetic appearance and reduce the load-bearing capacity.

What do I need to purchase other than this to have a functional ceiling fixture? Does this come with a lightbulb socket installed?

Docos

You only need to purchase the lampshade and a matching light fixture base. The light fixture base is not pre-installed; you will need to purchase it separately. This product includes only the arm section, canopy section, and wiring.

We regret to inform you that we do not recommend installing any pendant lights from the swing arm series on sloped ceilings. We advise installing them on level ceilings.
