The Avyra Floor Lamp puts a paper parasol on a surveyor's tripod. Three straight legs of solid wood meet at a small round collar, the way a field tripod is pinned together, and a wide, shallow fabric cone sits on top with its rim bound in a running whip stitch, the same edge you see on a hand-made parasol or a leather hat brim. A turned wood cap closes the peak. Lit from within, the cone glows evenly and pours light down onto whatever sits beneath it, which is why this fabric cone tripod floor lamp with solid wood legs was designed as a reading lamp beside an armchair in mid-century and Japandi living rooms.
