Inspiration

Selune starts from the way old cottage lampshades were finished — a contrast band sewn along the edge because a raw hem needed binding, and the binding ended up being the thing you noticed. Here that edge does the drawing: six petals traced in walnut-brown against beige, so a soft shade holds a definite shape from across a room. The turned wood neck above it is left plain, borrowed from furniture rather than lighting, which is why the fixture reads as joinery instead of hardware.
