Inspiration

The Tulimora Chandelier started from a bunch of pink tulips left in a vase on the kitchen table. On the first day they stand straight, but by the next morning the stems have curved out over the rim in every direction, some flowers nodding down, some still reaching up, with long green leaves falling between them. We kept that loose, overgrown bunch exactly as it looks on the second day, and made the stems from metal, the leaves from green-painted metal and each tulip from pink glass.

Hand-antiqued finish

The gold finish is aged by hand, and the pink swirl in each glass tulip forms differently. Small differences in tone and pattern from the photos are part of the piece.

Where will it fit?
At Ø 31.5″ x H 29.5″, it fits over a dining table for four to six, or in a bedroom or living room of about 12 x 14 ft. Over a table it works with standard 8 ft ceilings; in a walkway or entryway, a ceiling of 9 ft or higher leaves more headroom.
Is the worn look on purpose?
Yes. The gold finish is antiqued by hand to look aged, so the tone varies slightly across the frame and from piece to piece. Dust it with a dry brush rather than polishing it.
What kind of bulbs does it use?
Each tulip holds one G9 bulb, and the bulbs are included in warm 3000K light. G9 is a small bi-pin bulb, so use the same type when you replace one.
How is it installed?
It is hardwired to a ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation. It hangs on a 50cm/19.7″ chain. Because of its size and the number of glass shades, plan for two people to hang it.
