L'Applique Flush Mount Merovin s'inspire de la façon dont une éclipse apparaît à mi-parcours, un disque glissant sur un autre plutôt que de s'encastrer parfaitement dedans. Un croissant en pierre et un croissant en bois se chevauchent derrière le panneau lumineux, chacun s'arrêtant avant l'autre pour que les bords restent visibles d'en bas. Rien n'est centré, ce qui empêche une structure ronde sur un plafond plat de ressembler à un simple anneau de garniture.
