La Waldena Table Light emprunte son abat-jour à la couture plutôt qu'à la fabrication de lampes. Plier le tissu en larges plis droits donne au cône ses côtes, et laisser l'ourlet tomber en festons au lieu d'une arête nette le termine comme une jupe serait terminée. La base en frêne est tournée sur un tour à un simple cylindre avec un seul perlon noir au col — un détail, puis rien d'autre, pour que la plissure reste ce qui vous regarde.
La Waldena fonctionne comme une lampe de chevet sur une table de nuit, une lampe d'accentuation sur une console d'entrée, ou une lumière d'angle sur une desserte de salon. L'abat-jour plissé et l'ampoule chaude offrent une lueur ambiante — assez douce pour une chambre, et assez brillante pour lire au lit ou près d'un fauteuil. La base en frêne tourné et l'ourlet ondulé s'accordent bien avec le lin, le rotin et le bois naturel.
