La Tasselle s'inspire de la confection de rideaux plutôt que de l'éclairage. Un ourlet festonné, un cordonnet contrastant courant le long du bord, et un seul gland pendant au centre sont les ornements qu'un atelier ajoute pour adoucir un panneau simple — ils ont donc été appliqués à un abat-jour large et peu profond. Le gland est ce qui le trahit : il pend librement, se déplace légèrement dans un courant d'air, et place un petit élément de décor là où la plupart des luminaires de plafond finissent plats.
Trois tailles, même abat-jour, lisérés et gland. Une règle approximative pour un plafonnier : additionnez la longueur et la largeur de la pièce en mètres et utilisez ce nombre en centimètres comme diamètre — une chambre de 2,7 × 3 m s'oriente vers le 50 cm, un couloir ou un petit coin vers le 40 cm, et un séjour ou une salle à manger convient au 60 cm. Les trois se suspendent près du plafond, ils conviennent donc aux pièces de 2,4 m où une suspension serait encombrante.
