Donuts nasce da un'abitudine metà secolo che continuavamo a riprendere: creare una luce da una sola forma semplice e rifiutarsi di aggiungere altro. È un anello — un disco in vetro poco profondo con un foro al centro, tinto dell'ambra del vetro pressato antico piuttosto che dipinto. Fuori dalla parete si legge come un oggetto; acceso, la tinta riscalda tutto quello che la luce tocca. Niente la nasconde. Questo era il senso.
