Inspiration

Splova started from a photograph of a drop of water hitting a flat surface — the instant the crown throws itself outward and holds, for a fraction of a second, a shape nobody designed. We cast that moment in resin around a single glowing sphere, so the light sits at the centre of the splash rather than behind it. The curves are asymmetric on purpose; nothing here repeats. Finished matte, in five earth tones, it reads more like a wall-mounted object than a fixture.

Key Features

Sculpted Splash Form

An asymmetric resin crown, cast to hold the shape of a splash mid-air.

Central Glowing Sphere

The light sits at the centre of the form, so the splash is lit from within rather than washed from behind.

Damp Rated

Rated for damp locations — bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, not exposed weather.

Use Case

At W9″ × H9″ Splova is a single-point accent rather than a room's light source — it works beside a bed, sofa, or mirror, in a hallway or stairwell, or as a pair flanking a vanity or headboard at roughly 60–66″ from the floor. Because it's damp rated it also goes where most sculptural fixtures can't: a bathroom, or a covered porch or balcony wall. The glow comes from the centre of the form, so the light is soft and close to the wall — pair it with a reading lamp where you need to see detail. The darker finishes hold the sculpted edges more visibly against a pale wall; white and cream read quieter. Email info@docos.us for trade pricing or help choosing a finish.

FAQ

How big is it?

W9″ × H9″ (W23 × H23cm) — one size, in five finishes.

Is the bulb included?

Yes — one warm 3000K LED bulb, included and replaceable. Note the base is G4, a small two-pin push-fit type rather than a screw base, so ask for G4 when buying replacements (5W max).

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Yes — it's damp rated, so it suits a bathroom and a covered porch or balcony wall. It isn't rated for exposed weather, so keep it out of direct rain.

Does it work with a dimmer?

Yes, with a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable G4 bulb. Not all G4 LEDs dim smoothly, so check the bulb is marked dimmable. The dimmer isn't included.

Is it hardwired?

Yes — it wires to a wall junction box and has no switch of its own, so it runs off an existing wall switch. A licensed electrician is recommended, and may be required by local code for a bathroom or outdoor install.

The design is definitely eye-catching, but it’s a bit more abstract than I expected. It took some time to get used to.

I am extremely satisfied with this purchase; it is unique, stylish, and exquisitely crafted.

The light from the central sphere diffuses softly outward, completely free of any harsh glare. This is a bold design choice, but if you are seeking a style that stands out from the crowd, it will undoubtedly yield surprisingly impressive results.

It adds a touch of personality to my otherwise minimalist apartment. It is exactly the light fixture I’ve been looking for.

I particularly love this wall lamp. Mounted on the wall, it resembles a piece of modern art; the glowing sphere at its center creates a soothing atmosphere.

I like the concept and overall look, but the size was smaller than I imagined from the photos.

The fluid shape gives the impression of motion, which is really cool for a static object.I mounted this in my bedroom, and it creates such a relaxing atmosphere at night.

The lamp looks nice and functions well, but it doesn’t provide enough light for practical tasks. It’s more decorative than functional.

This lamp is entirely different from any lighting fixture I have owned before; its design is both playful and refined, complementing my bedroom perfectly.

It serves as both a light fixture and a decorative piece. Even when unlit, it remains exquisitely beautiful. Its craftsmanship is truly remarkable; the curves appear at once fluid and thoughtfully conceived—never arbitrary or chaotic.

The natural finish gives it a warm, earthy feel that balances the modern design.I was hesitant at first because it’s so bold, but now I’m really glad I took the chance.

I installed it in the hallway, and it instantly became the focal point of the entire space. Whenever guests visit, they invariably stop to ask about it.

It complements my modern decor while still adding a bit of artistic flair. The balance between function and design is well done. It’s clearly meant to be both.

I appreciate how unique it is without feeling over-the-top or gimmicky. The installation process was pretty straightforward, and it feels securely mounted.

It’s perfect for adding a bit of whimsy without making the space feel childish.I’ve seen a lot of modern lighting, but this one really stands out as something special.
