Inspiration

The Rafflora Flush Mount is shaped like an open flower, with woven rattan petals set in a brass frame that fan out from a central opal glass diffuser. Each petal is a rattan-cane panel bordered in brass, arranged around a brass canopy and short stem. The open petals let light filter through the woven cane while the glass shade glows at the center. Measuring 21.7 inches wide and 10.1 inches tall, this rattan flower flush mount suits dining rooms, entryways, bedrooms, and hallways — a woven rattan flush mount for dining room or a coastal flower ceiling light for entryway in coastal, chinoiserie, grandmillennial, and modern tropical interiors.

Key Features

Woven Rattan Petals
Cane-woven rattan panels form open flower petals that filter light through the weave. Each petal is hand-set into the frame.
Brass Petal Frame
Each rattan petal is bordered and held by a warm brass frame, fanning out from the brass canopy in a flower shape.
Opal Glass Center Diffuser
An opal glass shade at the core spreads a soft glow downward, while the rattan petals cast a textured pattern around it.

Use Case

The Rafflora works best as a woven rattan flush mount for dining room centered over a 4-seat table, or a coastal flower ceiling light for entryway as a welcoming focal point. The 21.7" flower spread suits medium rooms — dining areas, bedrooms, entryways, and wide hallways. The semi-flush profile makes it suitable for 8 ft ceilings where a low pendant would feel crowded.

The opal glass center gives soft ambient light while the rattan petals cast a woven shadow pattern on the ceiling. Best with a warm white 3000K candelabra LED (E12 or E14). Pair with rattan and cane furniture, linen textiles, brass hardware, and tropical or botanical accents for a coastal or chinoiserie look.

FAQ

Is the bulb included? What type?
Yes — one bulb is included. The socket fits an E12 or E14 candelabra base (E12 is the US standard for chandelier-style bulbs; E14 is the European/Asian equivalent and the same physical socket here), up to 40W incandescent or 5W LED equivalent. Replacement bulbs are stocked at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon under "candelabra base".
Is this a flush mount or semi-flush mount?
A semi-flush mount. The brass canopy mounts to the ceiling with a short stem, so the fixture hangs about 10 inches below the ceiling — close enough for 8 ft ceilings, but not as flat as a true flush mount.
Is the shade real rattan?
Yes — the petals are woven rattan cane set in a brass frame, not printed or molded plastic. Because each panel is woven, the cane texture varies slightly from petal to petal.
Can I install it myself or do I need an electrician?
Hardwired install via a standard US ceiling junction box. A confident DIYer with hardwire experience can do it, but a licensed electrician is recommended for code compliance and safe hookup.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
Not over a shower/tub or outdoors. The Rafflora is rated for dry locations only — moisture will degrade the natural rattan over time and isn't covered under warranty.
How do I clean the rattan and brass?
Dust the rattan petals gently with a soft brush or microfiber duster. Avoid water — moisture warps natural rattan over time. For the brass frame, wipe with a dry cloth; harsh polish strips the warm finish.
