Inspiration

Kami takes its name from folded paper, and the shade holds that idea: a pleated skirt that catches shadow along every crease, so a shallow dome stops looking flat. We set it inside a plain rim to hold the pleats taut and left the edge of the fold visible all the way round. It's a small fixture, and the pleating is the reason it still registers in a room. The colourways stay soft, so the shape does the talking.

Key Features

Pleated Acrylic Shade

Folded pleats catch shadow along every crease and diffuse the light evenly through the acrylic.

White Resin Rim

A clean resin rim frames the shade and holds the pleats taut against the ceiling.

Damp Rated

Rated for damp locations — bathrooms and covered outdoor areas, not exposed weather.

Size & Fit

One size, in four colourways, with a range of pleated shade designs.

Kami Ceiling Lamp — pleated acrylic shade with white resin rim

Hardwired install This fixture wires directly to a ceiling junction box and has no switch of its own — it runs off an existing wall switch. A licensed electrician is recommended, and in a bathroom or outdoor location may be required by local code.

Acrylic shade — clean gently Acrylic scratches more easily than glass and clouds when it meets solvents. Wipe it with a soft damp cloth and mild soap only — no ammonia or window cleaner, no abrasive pads, and never dry-wipe dust off with a paper towel.

Use Case

At Ø9″ and only 6.3″ deep, Kami sits close to the ceiling — it suits a bathroom, powder room, entry, hallway, or small bedroom, and any low-ceiling room where a pendant would hang in the way. In a longer corridor, run three or four spaced roughly 24–32″ apart. The damp rating also puts it on a covered porch, patio, or balcony ceiling, where most decorative fixtures can't go. Because the acrylic is diffusing rather than clear, the light spreads soft and wide rather than pooling in one spot, so treat it as ambient light and add a task lamp where you need to read. FAQ

How big is it?

Ø9″ (23cm) across and 6.3″ (16cm) deep — one size, in four colourways.

Is the bulb included?

Yes — one warm 3000K LED bulb, included and fully replaceable. The socket is E26 or E27 and takes up to 40W incandescent or the LED equivalent.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

Yes — it's damp rated, so it works in a bathroom and under a covered porch, patio, or balcony ceiling. It isn't rated for exposed weather, so keep it out of direct rain or snow.

How do I clean the acrylic shade?

A soft damp cloth with mild soap. Skip ammonia-based window cleaners, solvents, and abrasive pads — they cloud and scratch acrylic.

Does it work with a dimmer?

Yes, with a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable bulb. The dimmer isn't included.

Is it hardwired?

Yes — it wires to a ceiling junction box and has no switch of its own, so it runs off an existing wall switch. A licensed electrician is recommended, and may be required by local code for a bathroom or outdoor install.

Very happy with these lightstheyre well made, securely packaged, and add a warm, pleasant glow to our hallway.

I am so pleased with the appearance of this light. One of many items I have been ordering for the revamp of my condo and I can't wait for the finishes project!!!

Just what we needed for our hallway. Adds a little bit more of a fancy feel to an otherwise boring hallway. It was super easy to install and has a great finish on it.

Exactly what I wanted in my office area for general lighting. Nice size for a small area.

I was happy to find that this light was an excellent choice. Very good quality, and nicely built.

Just as described. Nice and sleek style!! Super easy to install.had it put in within 5 min.

Nice complementary looking ceiling light that provides plenty of light that we installed in a hallway.

I bought two of these lights for a guest bedroom and an office. They are simple and lovely.

This fixture is simple and clean, provides good clean light. I replaced all the fixtures in the house with this one! Provided a clean modern look without the gimmicky feel.

We installed these in our hallway to give it a refreshed look. The quality is solid, and installation was simple.

These lights are impressive. The material quality is better than expected, and the size works perfectly in the entryway.

Easy to install and came with all the necessary hardware, which was very convenient.

Purchased these for two separate bedrooms. They have a charming appearance and work well in both spaces.

Love this light! Looks great and was easy to install. Going to get another for a different room

These are perfect! Our decorator found these for our place, they blend in and are sleek and clean looking.

What a great light for our utility room.. great price and clean look!

Love the way it looks. Doesn't project light outward as much as I wished, but it is bright underneath. Easy to install.

Very nice and elegant light for the price. It was easy to install. We got two for our new office/gym remodel.

Just as shown, but not installed yet so we can't say how great that will be.

This light is stylish and just the right size for our low ceilings. A stunning modern piece for a reasonable price.

Weve been searching for the right fixture for our small dining area that was also dimmable and this was just right!! I love how it illuminates off the ceiling too!!

Looks nice but doesnt give off enough light for an entire room.

Nice looking light! I bought another one in white for my daughters room. I like that its the same throughout the house but the colors can match the rooms color decor.
