This lamp began with the paper lantern — a shade you light from within rather than point at a wall. We wanted that quality on a side table: a small, softly ribbed dome that turns a single bulb into a warm, low pool of light. The curve is drawn to sit at eye level when you're seated, so the glow lands on the room and not in your face. Nothing about it demands attention; it simply makes a corner feel lived in.

At Ø10.2″ and 16.9″ tall it fits a nightstand, side table, console, or desk without crowding it, and the 59″ cord reaches a floor outlet from most furniture. The paper shade spreads the light wide and low, so it reads as an ambient bedside lamp or a soft corner light rather than a reading lamp — add a directed task light where you need to read. 和紙は薄く、丈夫で、やや透光性があります — これはまさに優れたシェードに必要な特性です。光は紙を跳ね返さず繊維を通り抜けるため、光は柔らかく均等に広がります。すべてのシェードはワイヤーフレームの上に手で形成されているため、同じものはふたつとありません。表面のわずかな変動は欠陥ではなく、手作りのランタンと印刷されたものの違いです。
和紙は、楮、三椏、雁皮といった植物の内皮から作られた伝統的な日本紙です。繊維を丁寧に剥き、煮沸し、叩いて紙漿にしたのち、竹の網の上に広げて繊細なシートを形作ります。強度、透光性、柔らかい質感で知られ、和紙は折り紙、行灯、障子戸など日本文化に欠かせない存在として、何世紀にもわたって国の芸術性と優雅さを体現してきました。

The light it gives off is perfect for our entryway console.
This light is adorable and I think it's worth purchasing only if you have a small room and this is why but other than that it's very adorable and plus it's warm lighting which we love over here ??!! If you are looking for a cute Japanese style lamp this is made for you!!!!
Its a great lamp. Just like the original at a 10th of the price. I have a cat and kids Ilove the look but didnt want to spend so much for something that could be poked or torn. Its very high quality. I recommend it
I'm really enjoying this table lamp, It was easy to assemble but if it's your first paper lamp do go slow and gently pull the shade down over the base to secure.. You can search around for different warmths to your liking while using.
