Inspiration

The Avelisse takes the looped shades of our tiered chandelier and lays them against a wall. Each element is a ribbon of ceramic bent back on itself and left open at the ends, so the light escapes at the curves rather than straight out — what you see from the side is a run of arcs, and what lands on the wall is a stack of soft shadows. Turned on its side and reduced to three loops, the chandelier's rhythm survives at a scale that fits a hallway.

Key Features

Hand-Finished Ceramic Loops

Each shade element is a hand-finished ceramic ribbon — matte, warm in tone, and open at the curves, so it diffuses the light and casts a layered shadow on the wall.

Three Light Sources

Three sockets rather than one give multi-directional light across the wall — enough to read by at a bedside, not just an accent glow.

9.8″ Projection

Deep enough to read as sculpture, shallow enough to clear a shoulder in a hallway or a narrow passage.

Size & Fit

Avelisse wall sconce dimensions — 16.9 inch wide, 18.5 inch high, 9.8 inch projection

Width16.9″ / 43 cm

Height18.5″ / 47 cm

Projection9.8″ / 25 cm

One size. Beside a bed, mount the center around 56–60″ (142–152 cm) from the floor, or roughly 18″ above the mattress. Down a hallway, a run of two or three spaced 6–8 ft apart gives the loops their rhythm; keep 7 ft of floor clearance in a passage.

FAQ

What bulbs does it take — and will US bulbs fit?

Three E14 bulbs are included. Note that E14 is the European small Edison screw and is not the same as the US E12 candelabra base — a US E12 bulb will not thread in. Buy E14 replacements (4–6W LED, warm white 2700–3000K keeps the ceramic glowing), or fit an E14-to-E12 adapter.

Are the ceramic loops fragile, and how do I clean them?

They are high-density ceramic, stable once mounted, but handle them carefully during install. Dust with a soft dry cloth or feather duster; for a deeper clean, wipe with a slightly damp cloth with the power off.

Can it go in a bathroom?

A powder room or vanity area with no direct water contact is fine. It is rated for dry locations, so avoid a shower or tub zone where steam reaches it.

How is it installed?

It hardwires to a standard wall junction box and the wall plate is included, so no separate bracket is needed. A licensed electrician is recommended for a code-compliant hookup.
