Are bulbs included with this light?

Yes, bulbs are included. The fixture uses 3 × E12 or E14 candelabra base bulbs, up to 25W each incandescent or 5W LED equivalent.

Yes, it is dimmable with an LED-rated dimmer switch and dimmable LED bulbs.

What are the exact dimensions?

The shade is 18″ / 45.7 cm diameter × 11.8″ / 30 cm high and hangs about 12″ below the ceiling.

What is the shade made of?

The shade is pleated beige linen gathered over a metal frame, with a gold-finished metal canopy and ball finial. The pleats are hand-stitched, so spacing varies slightly between fixtures.

What ceiling height does it need?

It requires 8 ft or higher ceiling height. The semi-flush design sits about 12″ below the ceiling, making it suitable for standard 8 ft ceilings without crowding.

Calyra Semi-Flush Mount

Q: How do I clean the fabric shade?

Dust the pleats with a soft brush or microfiber duster. Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth—never soak. Wipe metal dry and do not polish.

Inspiration

Calyra began with a flower caught mid-bloom. Fabric is gathered into radiating pleats that fan out from the center like petals, then stacked in two scalloped tiers so the silhouette opens as it descends. It's the pleated fabric shade of an old English bedside lamp, scaled up and turned toward the ceiling — the kind of soft, gathered detail that grandmillennial and coastal rooms are built on. Warm gold at the canopy and a small ball finial at the base keep the softness from going shapeless.

Key Features

Two-Tier Pleated Fabric Shade

Beige linen gathered into radiating pleats, stacked in two tiers. Diffuses light evenly — no glare, no hot spots.

Scalloped Petal Edges

Both tiers finish in a wavy scalloped rim, so it reads as a flower petal from below. Hand-finished fabric edges.

Gold Canopy & Ball Finial

Warm gold metal ceiling plate up top and a polished gold ball finial at the base.

FAQ

Are bulbs included? What type?

Yes — bulbs are included. The sockets fit E12 or E14 candelabra base bulbs (E12 is the US standard for chandelier-style bulbs; E14 is the European/Asian equivalent and the same physical socket here), up to 25W each. Replacements are stocked at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Amazon under "candelabra base" or "E12 chandelier bulb".

Is this a flush mount or a semi-flush mount?

Technically a semi-flush mount. The canopy mounts directly to the ceiling with a short stem, so the bottom of the shade sits about 12 inches below it — close enough for low 8 ft ceilings, but not as flat as a true flush mount that sits within 4 inches.

Is the shade real fabric?

Yes — pleated beige linen over a metal frame, not molded plastic or resin. The pleats are gathered and stitched by hand, so fold spacing and scalloped edges vary slightly between fixtures. That's part of the handcrafted look.

Can I install it myself or do I need an electrician?

A confident DIYer with hardwire experience can do it, but a licensed electrician is recommended for code compliance and safe hookup. See the Installation Guide below for the step-by-step.
