De Waldena Tafellamp ontleent zijn vorm aan het naaien in plaats van aan lampenmakerij. Door de stof in diepe kokerplooien te vouwen krijgt de kegel zijn ribben, en door de zoom in scallops te laten vallen in plaats van recht geeft het hem de afwerking van een rok. De ashouden basis is op een draaibank gedraaid tot een eenvoudige kolom met een enkel zwart parelletje aan de hals — één detail, verder niets, zodat de plooien het blijven wat je aankijkt.
De Waldena werkt als bedlamp op het nachtkastje, als accentlamp op een halsidetafel, of als hoeklicht op een woonkamer-dressoir. Het geplisseerde kapje en warme peertje geven een ambient gloed — zacht genoeg voor een slaapkamer, en helder genoeg om naast een bed of stoel bij te lezen. De gedraaide ashvoet en gegolfde zoom passen goed bij linnen, rattan en natuurlijk hout.
