Inspiration

The Beadovia Floor Lamp came from a paper lantern at a summer night market, hung on a tall brass pole that someone had threaded with a few painted beads: a flat one, a long ribbed one and a round one, each a different color. The lantern swayed a little in the breeze and the beads caught its light. We kept the round, ribbed lantern and the stack of beads, and stood it on the floor.

Which color mix should I choose?
Every version has the same white ribbed shade and gold stem; only the three beads change. Forest pairs a coral disc, a dark green ribbed column and an aqua round bead. Celadon pairs an aqua disc, a pale celadon column and a pink bead. Blush pairs a lime disc, a pink column and a white bead.
How bright is it?
It holds one E26 or E27 bulb, included, in Warm Light (3000K). The fabric shade glows softly and the open bottom lights the beads below, as an ambient or corner light rather than a reading light.
Where does it fit?
At 140cm/55.1″ tall with a 25cm/9.8″ base, it fits beside a sofa, an armchair or a bed, or in the corner of a bedroom or nursery.
How is it powered?
It is a plug-in lamp with a 450cm/177″ cord, long enough to reach an outlet from across a corner. The foot switch on the cord turns it on and off.
