The Mia Alabaster Wall Sconce is a single-light hardwired wall sconce combining a scalloped alabaster bell shade with a curved brass arm and a relief-carved brass wall plate. The shade is shaped into a flower-petal silhouette with a ruffled lower edge — the alabaster material diffuses the E26/E27 bulb with a soft, even glow rather than a sharp cutoff. The wall plate has a raised floral relief pattern pressed directly into the brass, giving the backplate visible detail without any applied ornament. At W 5.5″ × H 9.8″ (14 × 25 cm), it is compact enough to use in a hallway or on either side of a bed without crowding the wall. The curved arm holds the shade slightly forward and angled downward, which positions the light output toward the surface below rather than straight out from the wall. A straightforward choice for a French country bedroom, vintage-modern bathroom vanity, or transitional hallway where you want a sconce with both a stone shade and a brass backplate with some surface detail. Uses a standard E26 or E27 bulb; hardwired.
One size: W 14 cm × H 25 cm (W 5.5″ × H 9.8″). The compact footprint works well in tighter wall spaces — a hallway, a narrow bathroom wall, or either side of a headboard where a larger fixture would feel oversized. Install the center of the wall plate at roughly 60–66″ from the floor for typical ambient use, or position as needed alongside a mirror or above a console.

Alabaster can't be moulded or mass-pressed — it is cut. Every shade starts as solid stone and is worked by hand until it's thin enough to glow evenly. That's why no two are the same.
Blocks of natural alabaster are extracted and graded for translucency and the quality of their veining before any cutting begins.
Each block is sliced and turned or carved to form, then hollowed so a bulb can sit behind the stone wall.
The walls are sanded to an even thickness so light passes through without dark patches, then polished by hand.
Fitted with brass hardware and wired to a 120V, ETL-compliant build, then inspected before it ships.

Alabaster is a solid, fine-grained stone with real weight — not fragile in normal use. It is softer than marble, so avoid knocks and harsh chemical cleaners. A soft, dry cloth keeps it looking right for years.
No — and that's by design. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tone are unique to your piece. The product photo shows a representative example; yours will have its own distinct veining.
Use a 2700K warm-white LED to bring out the honeyed, candle-like tone in the stone. Cooler bulbs make alabaster look gray. Most fixtures take an E26 or G9 base — check the product page — and dim with a compatible LED dimmer.
