Mushora Floor Light

The Mushora starts from the mushroom lamps of the 1970s and asks what else a stem can do. Halfway up, it widens into a small round tray — the kind of thing you would otherwise need a side table for. The cap is textured rather than smooth, the way a real cap is ridged underneath, and three small figures were set into it: a toadstool, a daisy, a butterfly. They are the one piece of storytelling on an otherwise quiet, sculptural form.

One size: 57.1″ H (145 cm) overall, with a Ø15.7″ × H10.2″ cap shade, a Ø13.8″ side tray, and a Ø11.8″ round base. At just under 12″ across the floor it slots into a corner or beside a sofa arm, and the 57″ height puts the light above your shoulder when you're seated. Suits rooms of about 54–108 sq ft (5–10 m²).
