The Ovallume Linear Chandelier came from a narrow wooden rowing shell hung upside down from the rafters of an old boathouse. Long, low and rounded at both ends, it ran almost the full width of the room. In the evening, the lamps along the wall lit a thin line around its edge. We kept that long oval, that thin line of light and the two lines it hung from, and moved it over the table.

Solid Wood Lighting
Each Docos lamp is shaped from a single, slow-grown hardwood — oak, walnut, ash, cherry — finished by hand and fitted with warm 2700K bulbs. No two pieces are alike, because no two trees are.

We use FSC-certified North American hardwoods and finish with low-VOC oils. Built to last decades, not seasons.
From measurement to finish, woodworking demands a balance of structure and patience. Every cut is squared, every joint dry-fit, every surface hand-sanded to 220 grit before oiling.
Each curve is shaped to honor the grain, not fight it. The result isn't just a lamp — it's a story of patience, passed from craftsman to customer through a single block of wood.
