Inspiration

The Petalisse Floor Lamp came from a beige parasol pushed into the lawn at a summer garden party. Its edge fell in soft waves, a pink knob sat on top, and someone’s child had threaded a few painted beads onto the handle: a flat one, a ribbed one, a big round one. By evening it was still standing there, a little crooked, beads and all. We straightened it up, kept the beads, and gave it a light.

Which color mix should I choose?
Every version has the same beige shade and pink finial; only the stem beads change. Blush, Lemon, Pebble and Forest pair a dark green ribbed bead with a pink, yellow, grey or green ball. Berry pairs a pink ribbed bead with a burgundy ball, and Cherry pairs a light blue ribbed bead with a red ball.
How bright is it?
It holds one G9 bulb, included, in Warm Light (3000K). The metal dome sends the light down and out from under the wavy rim, as a soft ambient or accent light for a corner rather than a room’s main light.
Where does it fit?
At 151cm/59.4″ tall with a 25cm/9.8″ base, it fits beside a sofa or an armchair, in the corner of a bedroom or nursery, or next to a desk. The 450cm/177″ cord reaches a wall outlet from across a corner, and the foot switch on the cord turns it on and off without bending down to the stem.
How do I clean it?
Unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool, then wipe the shade, beads and gold finish with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the plated finish.
