The Sylvelle Floor Light puts a flower on a stem and stops there. The resin shade is moulded with a rippled petal edge rather than a clean rim, so the light breaks unevenly across the surface the way it would through a real bloom, and the bulb sits dead center where a flower's core would be. Underneath, the wood is turned as a plain tapered cone — narrow at the foot, wide at the top — so the column reads as a stem holding the shade up rather than as a lamp base.

Stand the 140 cm size beside a sofa or in a living-room corner as a floor lamp, put the 90 cm size next to a bed or reading chair, and set the 60 cm size on a console, sideboard or wide nightstand. The bulb at the center of the resin flower gives an ambient glow, so it reads as a decorative accent more than a reading light — pair it with a task lamp where you actually read. The natural wood and off-white resin sit well alongside linen, stone and pale wood furniture.
