The Vedra Wall Sconce started from the narrow window slits in the thick stone walls of old Italian chapels, a single tall opening where daylight slips in and runs down the face of the stone beside it. As the light moves, every pit and vein in the wall shows up, one after another. We turned that slit of light into a lamp: one tall, slim bar of travertine on the wall, with the light running along it so the stone's own surface does the rest.
There will be some holes and cracks on the surface of the travertine, which is normal for this type of natural stone and does not affect its overall durability or appearance.
