Inspiration

The Virelia Rose Pendant Light looks back to the porcelain-flowered lighting of 18th-century French workshops, where roses were modelled and painted by hand and applied to the metalwork one at a time. Here the roses climb the brass stem as if grown along it, leaves included, and the glass shade below is left plain so the flowers stay the subject. Each rose is still painted by hand, which is why no two pendants come out quite the same.

Is a bulb included, and how bright is it?

Yes — a 3000K warm white LED bulb is included and replaceable. The socket takes E26 or E27 medium base bulbs, so US E26 replacements thread right in. A single bulb behind the glass gives soft ambient light, so pair it with other lighting where you need brighter, directed light.

Will mine look exactly like the photo?

Not exactly. The roses are hand-painted ceramic, so the finish and detail vary slightly per piece — yours will be a little different from the photo. That variation comes with hand-painting; it isn't a defect.

How is it installed, and can it go in a bathroom?

It's hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, with the 1.5 m (59″) cord shortened to your ceiling height at install — a licensed electrician is recommended. It's indoor dry locations only: the ceramic is porous and not damp-rated, so avoid bathrooms with shower steam and outdoor spots.
