Travertin är en sten full av hål, bildad av mineralvågor under tusentals år, och dessa öppna gropar lämnades ofyllda så att ytan förblir ärlig mot den släta, förseglade kurvan av glaset. Med mindre än 8″ i diameter läses den som en enda diskret skiva snarare än en armatur, vilket passar perfekt vid sängkanten — ofta i par — i en korridor eller på vardera sidan om en spegelvägg.
