تم بناء Kiely من شكلين غير متطابقين تماماً: ظل زجاجي دائري يجلس فوق أسطوانة ملونة مستقيمة، أحدهما ناعم والآخر حاد. عدم التطابق هذا هو الفكرة الأساسية للتصميم — تستمر العين في الحركة بينهما بدلاً من الاستقرار. جاءت الكرات الصغيرة حول القاعدة من مجموعة ألعاب البناء للأطفال كانت موجودة على المكتب في ذلك الوقت، وبقيت لأنها كسرت الهندسة بالقدر الكافي. عدم وجود سلك كان قيداً مقصوداً: كان يجب أن تكون مصباحاً يمكن التقاطه.

A few questions we hear most often about how the charging function works day to day.
Most cases up to 5mm thick charge without issue. Very thick cases, magnetic wallets, or cases with metal plates can weaken the connection — remove the case if charging feels slow or inconsistent.
Yes. The touch-dimmer and the charging base run on separate circuits, so adjusting brightness or switching between the three light settings never interrupts charging.
Yes. The lamp functions as a normal light at all times — the charging base only activates power delivery when it senses a compatible device placed on it.
Wireless models use a Qi charging pad built into the base — just set your phone down. USB models have physical USB-A and USB-C ports, which also charge tablets, e-readers, and earbuds cases at full speed.
