Charging Lamp FAQ

A few questions we hear most often about how the charging function works day to day.

Will my phone case affect wireless charging?

Most cases up to 5mm thick charge without issue. Very thick cases, magnetic wallets, or cases with metal plates can weaken the connection — remove the case if charging feels slow or inconsistent.

Can I dim the light while my phone is charging?

Yes. The touch-dimmer and the charging base run on separate circuits, so adjusting brightness or switching between the three light settings never interrupts charging.

Does the lamp still work if nothing is charging?

Yes. The lamp functions as a normal light at all times — the charging base only activates power delivery when it senses a compatible device placed on it.

What's the difference between the wireless and USB models?

Wireless models use a Qi charging pad built into the base — just set your phone down. USB models have physical USB-A and USB-C ports, which also charge tablets, e-readers, and earbuds cases at full speed.

What a nifty little invention. I am in love with this lamp. I am definitely ordering a few more. These are great for outdoor parties...you can adorn the tables with them or hang from nearby trees. The lighting is great. And i love that it isn't battery operated. I can plug into USB even if I lost power at home, i can connect USB in car and charge. It's super light in weight too.

The perfect mini size for a child to have in the room or camping. The brightness level is great and easy to use. I love the shape of the lamp and not bulky looking. The battery light so far has been a few days without a charge

This portable, USB led lantern is lightweight, compact and pretty bright. We took it fishing and had it on full power for almost 3 hours, and the battery didn't die on us. We also accidentally dropped it and the cover and handle came off. Not as sturdy as we had wanted. This light would be useful on camping trips to illuminate your tent or around the campground.

I was looking for a different type of battery powered lantern, but when I saw this I couldn't resist it. It is cute and usable, and I like that it is rechargable.

This is excellent for just about any situation you need a small lantern for - evening walks, camping, whatever. Very light and easy to carry.

This LED Camping Light is both compact and convenient. I love how easy this is to sit on a table or to flip around and hang in a tent. I also love that I can adjust the brightness of the light. This is great for camping as well as when the power is out at home which seems to happen a few times a year for me. This charges up relatively fast and lasts for a good length of time. Great light at a great price!

I love that it is rechargeable, so you aren't burning through batteries. It can be dimmed, or be pretty bright. We used it while camping this weekend, and we were able to read books by it. The charge lasts quite a good while as well.

Not only does it have nice functionality, it has a beautiful, cool design. It makes a great nightlight and will be great as a lantern when there is a power outage.
