The Maverton Table Lamp started from two things found in old European hotel rooms: a short piece of travertine column kept on a bookshelf, pitted and pale, and the cream linen lampshades on the bedside tables, bound top and bottom with a narrow tan ribbon. We stood one of those shades on a plain travertine cylinder and joined the two with a short gold neck.
The base is natural travertine. The color, veining and pores differ on every piece, so no two lamps look exactly the same.
