The Talmora Table Lamp started from a heavy, rounded stone kept as a doorstop in an old farmhouse, worn smooth on top and settled wide at the bottom from years on the floor. We shaped the base the same way, low and full, and left the stone with its pores and bands showing. A thin round collar sits on top where a hand might have rested, and above it a plain linen shade like the curtains in the same house. Lit in the evening, the linen glows soft and warm over the stone.
