The Marzio Table Lamp is the classic ceramic jar lamp cut down to pocket size. The rounded body keeps the full shoulders of an old ginger jar, and a short tapered shade sits on top with the same pattern carried across both pieces, so lamp and shade read as one hand-painted object. There are three patterns: a thick green ribbon looping around white glaze like a line drawn without lifting the brush, a bright landscape of yellow sun rays, orange fields and purple hills in loose crayon-like strokes, and bold black-and-white zebra stripes. The jar stands on a small silver-tone metal foot, and the cord is gone entirely: a battery sits inside, and a touch point on top of the shade turns it on, changes the light color and dims it, so the glaze glows around the neck where the light spills out.
