The overall feeling is good, and I personally think it is very suitable for ambient lighting. More suitable for corridors. Of course you can place it anywhere you see fit.

We recently switched our kids over to a double loft bed set-up. I wanted to add a light source they could use for getting up to use the bathroom, reading, etc. Didn't want the hassle of new electrical work for a hardwired light, but also didn't want to worry about outlet locations or hanging cords near their heads/bedding. This light was the perfect solution. You can stick it to the wall in the exact spot you want, no worrying about cords, and it's easy enough for a toddler to figure out how to use. They love them! It's a nice compact size too. Most of the other lights I considered using were visually too big for the space. Would absolutely recommend.

I literally just finished putting this light up in my closet library, which doubles as a place for me to go and ease my anxiety. I have real bad issues with "big lights", due to my eyes being super sensitive, but this light is PERFECT.

I got this for my bedroom so I can read without the main light on. Different light levels are great and easy to place. Also easy to detach from base and charge.

We have a little reading nook for our kids under our stairwell, and these lights are perfect for reading a book or coloring in that space. The kids like that they have the responsibility of charging the lights.
