Inspiration

The Daveron Chandelier takes its shape from the old candle chandelier, where curved arms once carried candle cups around a center post. Here four gold-tone iron arms curve up from a short center column, and each one holds a white glass shade shaped like a small flared trumpet, seated in a gold-tone metal cuff at the wide end. Around the bottom of the column runs a ring made of two wavy iron rods twisted around each other, crossing and parting in a continuous chain of loops. The whole frame hangs from a cone-shaped canopy on three thin cords and a center cord, so it reads light and open from below. Lit, the white glass glows evenly and the gold cuffs and loops catch the warm light.

At 50cm/19.7″ wide, it fits over a round table for four or a 1.2–1.5m/4–5 ft table, or centered in a bedroom or entryway around 3 × 3m/10 × 10 ft.

How high should it hang?

Over a table, set the bottom of the fixture about 75–85cm/30–34″ above the surface. In a walkway, keep at least 2.1m/7 ft from the floor. The 150cm/59″ cords are shortened at the canopy during install.

Will it work with a lower ceiling?

Yes. The fixture body is only 36cm/14.2″ tall and the cords can be shortened, so it can sit fairly close to the ceiling in a room with an 8 ft ceiling.
