The Floyd Alabaster Pendant Light stacks two pieces of natural alabaster — a wide, shallow saucer shade over a hanging alabaster orb — topped by a brass ball and a twisted fabric cord. The G9 bulb inside lights both pieces of stone so they glow softly while the saucer spreads light down. One size, 9.8″ Dia × 7.9″ H. Sized for a kitchen island, dining table, bedside, hallway, or entryway, it suits quiet-luxury, mid-century, Art Deco, Japandi, and Mediterranean rooms.
One size and finish — a natural alabaster saucer and orb with a brass ball on a twisted fabric cord.
The Floyd reads as a saucer of stone over a glowing orb — the G9 bulb lights both alabaster pieces so they glow warmly while the shallow saucer spreads soft light down. It's ambient and accent light with a sculptural profile, not a bright task fixture.
Hang it solo over a bedside, breakfast nook, or entryway, or run several in a row over a kitchen island or counter. Hang the bottom of the orb about 30–36″ above an island or table; for multiples, space them roughly 24–30″ apart, and set the cord to your drop. The alabaster-and-brass pairing suits quiet-luxury, mid-century, Art Deco, Japandi, and Mediterranean rooms, alongside marble, wood, and warm-metal accents. Hand-cut alabaster lighting that glows from within — chandeliers, pendants, sconces, and lamps, each carved from a single block of natural stone.
Alabaster can't be moulded or mass-pressed — it is cut. Every shade starts as solid stone and is worked by hand until it's thin enough to glow evenly. That's why no two are the same.
Blocks of natural alabaster are extracted and graded for translucency and the quality of their veining before any cutting begins.
Each block is sliced and turned or carved to form, then hollowed so a bulb can sit behind the stone wall.
The walls are sanded to an even thickness so light passes through without dark patches, then polished by hand.
Fitted with brass hardware and wired to a 120V, ETL-compliant build, then inspected before it ships.

Raw alabaster blocks and hand-turned shades in our workshop — each piece is cut, hollowed, and finished by hand before it is wired and shipped.
Light passes through the stone itself — the lit-from-inside quality you can't get from glass or acrylic.
Cut from a solid block, so the cloud-like veining is its own. No two alabaster fixtures are identical.
The stone scatters light rather than aiming it. Pair with a 2700K bulb; most fixtures dim on a compatible LED dimmer.
A soft accent beside stronger overhead light — at home with wood, linen, and brass in modern interiors.
Switched off, an alabaster fixture is a quiet stone object. Switched on, the whole piece glows — sculpture you happen to be able to turn on.
Chandeliers, pendants, sconces, table and floor lamps — all cut from natural alabaster, most paired with brass. Dozens of pieces in all.
Hang a linear pendant or chandelier roughly 30–36″ above the surface. For a 6–8′ island, size the fixture or cluster to about two-thirds the counter length.
Two-story spaces suit a tiered chandelier — Corbett or Miira. Keep the lowest point at least 7′ off the floor in a walkway.
A wall sconce — Ando, Marmo, Velora — frees the nightstand and adds the soft accent layer. Plug-in versions skip the hardwiring.
A table lamp — Marie, Pico — anchors a reading corner with warm light beside your overheads.

Alabaster is a solid, fine-grained stone with real weight — not fragile in normal use. It is softer than marble, so avoid knocks and harsh chemical cleaners. A soft, dry cloth keeps it looking right for years.
No — and that's by design. Each shade is cut from natural stone, so the veining and tone are unique to your piece. The product photo shows a representative example; yours will have its own distinct veining.
Use a 2700K warm-white LED to bring out the honeyed, candle-like tone in the stone. Cooler bulbs make alabaster look gray. Most fixtures take an E26 or G9 base — check the product page — and dim with a compatible LED dimmer.
Chandeliers (Corbett, Kurve, Miira) suit dining rooms and two-story foyers; pendants suit kitchen islands; sconces suit bedsides and hallways. Send us your dimensions for a free 3D preview to scale before you order.
