Lenox transforme la structure la plus rigide qui soit — une barre de lumières droite au-dessus d'un plan de travail — en la laissant bouger. La structure monte et descend en une légère onde entre chaque globe, de sorte qu'elle se lit comme une ligne stricte vue de bout mais devient ondulante au fur et à mesure que vous vous déplacez le long. Les globes opaques restent régulièrement espacés à travers tout, ce qui maintient la lisibilité du rythme : la géométrie affirme la structure, la courbe en ôte la rigidité.
Cinq modèles : un pendentif rond unique, puis des barres linéaires de deux à cinq globes. La hauteur est de 9,4″ pour tous les modèles, et chacun est livré avec un cordon ajustable de 59″ (150 cm).
Pour une suspension linéaire, la longueur est le paramètre décisif. Visez une barre d'environ la moitié aux deux tiers de la longueur de la surface en dessous, en laissant au moins 15 cm d'espace libre à chaque extrémité, et suspendez les globes 75–90 cm au-dessus d'un comptoir ou 75–85 cm au-dessus d'une table à manger. En pratique : 2 têtes au-dessus d'un petit îlot ou d'un bar petit-déjeuner, 3 têtes au-dessus d'un îlot standard ou d'une table pour six, 4 têtes au-dessus d'un long îlot ou d'une table pour huit, 5 têtes au-dessus d'un comptoir très long ou d'une table de conférence. La suspension ronde simple est l'exception — utilisez-la seule à une table de nuit ou une entrée, ou suspendez-en deux ou trois en rangée pour un effet que vous pouvez espacer vous-même.
Les globes opalins jouent un rôle essentiel : ils diffusent chaque ampoule E12 en une sphère uniforme sans filament visible, ce qui rend une suspension au niveau des yeux au-dessus d'un comptoir confortable plutôt qu'éblouissante. La puissance est modérée à 10W-équivalent par globe, donc dans une cuisine fonctionnelle, conservez un éclairage sous-jacent ou encastré pour la tâche et utilisez ceci pour l'îlot lui-même.
