Le Lustre Tavienne s'inspire de la balustre tournée, cette colonne ouvragée qui soutenait les escaliers et les chandeliers dans les anciennes maisons de campagne. Taillée dans la pierre au lieu du bois, elle devient la colonne vertébrale du luminaire, avec des bras recourbés qui s'étirent et se replient à la manière d'un candélabre. Chaque bras se termine par une coupe où s'affichait autrefois une chandelle, et un abat-jour globe en verre rond prend la place de la flamme. Ce mélange d'une armature traditionnelle et d'une sphère épurée lui permet de s'harmoniser avec les salles à manger de style français campagnard, ferme ou transitionnel sans afficher un air de pièce d'époque.
