De Merrow Kroonluchter komt voort uit het idee van een balk in plaats van een lamp — twee stukken hout gestapeld en opgehangen aan draad, zoals constructiedelen boven een ruimte zitten. Het krommen van de onderkant van de walnootbalk maakt het hout zelf tot de diffuser, dus de LED verschijnt nooit als een rij punten, en het plaatsen van donker walnoot tegen bleek essenhouten houdt de twee balken als afzonderlijke stukken hout in plaats van één gegoten lichaam.
Laat aan elk uiteinde van de lamp ongeveer 15–30 cm vrij voor visuele balans, en hang de onderkant 75–90 cm boven het tafel- of eilandoppervlak.
De Merrow werkt als lineaire kroonluchter boven een eettafel, als lange hanglamp boven een keukeneiland of als taakverlichting boven een kantoor-bureau — kies de lengte passend bij het oppervlak. Combineer met notenhout- of eikenmeubilair, lederen zitplaatsen en warm metalen hardware. Tegen een wit of licht plafond leest notenhout als een donkere architecturale lijn; tegen donkere of met hout beklede plafonds integreert het in de structuur. Met een dimmer dekt de volledige helderheid koken en kantoorwerk, terwijl een laag instelling het omtovert tot dinerverlichting.
