Gemaakt van in Japan geproduceerd katoenpapier met fijne, exportkwaliteit naden tot 3-4mm, is de kap verkrijgbaar in vier silhouetten — een hoge dome, een dubbele kalebas, een drievoudig gestapelde kalebas of een afgeronde ton — allemaal 46cm hoog. Een enkele E26 of E27 gloeilamp verlicht het papier van binnenuit, zacht gloeiend door het geribd oppervlak.
