De Merovin Plafondlamp geeft vorm aan hoe een zonsverduistering er halverwege uitziet: de ene schijf schuift over de ander in plaats van netjes erin te passen. Een stenen crescent en een houten crescent overlappen achter het verlichte paneel, elk stopend voordat het andere, zodat de randen van beneden zichtbaar blijven. Niets staat gecentreerd, wat een ronde lamp op een plat plafond voorkomt uit als een ordinaire trimbalk te lezen. De ondiepe bouw past bij Japandi, organisch modern en warm-minimalistische slaapkamers, gangen en entrees.
