Inspiration

The Brinora started with a woven farm hat hanging on a wall — wide, conical, the rim left wavy where the weaving ran out. Turned upside down it is already a lampshade, so little was changed: dark rattan drawn over a wire frame, the scallop kept at the edge, the weave left open rather than tightened. Rattan is worth using for what it does to light — the strands hold their pattern and throw it onto the ceiling instead of blocking it.

Which width should I pick?
Over a dining table, aim for a shade about half to two-thirds the table's width: 19.7″ (50 cm) suits a standard 36–42″ table, 23.6″ (60 cm) a kitchen island or larger table, and 15.7″ (40 cm) a bedside or small round table. The woven cone and single E27 socket are the same in all three.
What bulb does it use, and is it included?
One E27 socket, and a 12W LED bulb in warm 3000K is included, so it lights up out of the box. E27 is cross-compatible with the standard US E26 base, so US replacements thread right in.
Can I adjust the hanging height, and can I install it myself?
The cord is 59″ (150 cm) and shortens at install, so you set the drop — about 30–36″ above a table or island. It is a hardwired ceiling fixture, so a licensed electrician is recommended for a code-compliant install.
Can it go in a bathroom or outdoors, and how do I clean it?
No — natural rattan is for indoor dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms, damp basements, and covered porches, where humidity can loosen the weave over time. Clean it dry: a soft brush or a low-suction vacuum, never water.
