Carmelle Pendant Light

The Carmelle started with the woven baskets stacked in the corner of a shoreline kitchen — cone-shaped, open enough to see daylight through, edges finished by hand rather than cut flat. Turned upside down and hung from a chain, that basket became the shade: a tapered weave whose rim was reshaped into a soft scalloped hem, so the silhouette ends in a wave instead of a hard line. Warm gold hardware carries the coastal-cottage note. The series grew from there into a sconce, a table lamp, and a floor lamp sharing the same hand.

The Carmelle works best over a kitchen island or dining table, where the open weave casts a soft textured shadow across the ceiling and walls once lit. The Small size also suits a breakfast nook, an entryway, or a pair flanking a bed.

Pair with oak or walnut furniture, linen textiles, woven baskets, and warm gold hardware for a coastal or Hamptons look. A vintage Edison filament bulb works as well as the included warm white LED. For a coordinated room, run the pendant over the table with the matching Carmelle Wall Sconce on the walls.
