La base de calabaza está acanalada de arriba a abajo en una silueta redondeada y de doble bulbo, y la pantalla abovedada viene envuelta en varios textiles — un pequeño estampado floral, un tejido de aspecto yute tejido, un patrón con corazones o lino liso — cada uno rematado con una bola de madera curva en el pico.
