La forme globulaire de la base est une forme classique de la céramique chinoise. Les représentations peintes à la main de poissons de différentes tailles et orientations, rendues dans le bleu caractéristique sur fond blanc, constituent un motif courant et de bon augure dans l'art chinois, symbolisant souvent l'abondance et la prospérité. Every Docos base is shaped, glazed, and fired by artisans with decades of practice. We fire our stoneware to 1300°C — nearly twice the heat of standard ceramics — giving each piece the density of stone and the smoothness of jade. No two are identical. None of them are accidents.
