The Silviora Wall Sconce borrows from shell-inlay keepsake boxes and the tiled mosaics on seaside walls. Its shade is laid in small square pieces of natural shell, set side by side in rows like mosaic tile, so each piece carries its own swirl and sheen and no two shades match exactly. The shell comes in two tones: a pale, pearly white, and a mixed natural shell in cream, amber and rose-brown. Below it, the frame is kept simple, like an old wall torch: a flared metal cup holds the shade on top of a slim, rounded stem, joined by a short arm to a round wall plate. Lit, the shell tiles glow from inside and the open top washes warm light up the wall.
