De Velric Table Light ontleent haar vorm aan een amfora, de tweehandige kruik die olie en wijn rond de Middellandse Zee vervoerde. De ingesnoerde hals en de twee ringen op de schouder waren oorspronkelijk bedoeld om op te tillen; hier blijven ze als silhouet van de voet in plaats van iets om vast te pakken. Een papieren kap zit boven op een kort houten steeltje, zodat het licht door het papier schijnt in plaats van alleen aan de uiteinden uit te stralen. Het oogt wabi-sabi, Japandi of warm-minimalistisch op een nachtkastje, console of bijzettafel in de woonkamer.
Naast elkaar gelezen leest de gebroken-witte kap helderder en neutraler, terwijl de lichtbruine kap een warmere, iets diepere toon uitstraalt — beide staan op dezelfde travertijnbasis en houten stengel die hier worden weergegeven.
