Taverton Chandelier

The Taverton Chandelier is a wagon-wheel hub with candles pinned to its spokes. From a flat brass disc at the center, straight rods run out like spokes with no rim to join them, and where each spoke ends a slim vertical rod is threaded through it, tapered at the bottom like a knitting needle and locked in place by a knurled brass collar. The candle sits on top of that rod: a tapered linen shade in place of a flame, cut narrow at the top and wider at the hem the way a candle shade clips over a taper. A single plain rod hangs the hub from the ceiling. Lit, the shades glow cream and throw a ring of warm light down onto the brass and up onto the ceiling.
