الزجاج المنفوخ يحتفظ بسجل عن كيفية صنعه. يترك Tobia هذا السجل مرئياً: الدوامة التي تجري عبر الكرة هي حركة التجميع نفسه، محفوظة وهي تبرد. صبغه بلطف بدلاً من صبغه بالكامل كان القرار الثاني — لون خفيف بما يكفي ليُقرأ كغسيل من الأزرق أو الوردي أو الأصفر عندما تكون المصباح مطفأة، وخفيف بما يكفي لإمرار الضوء الدافئ عند إضاءته. يحافظ الحبل الرفيع والغطاء الكرومي الصغير على كل شيء آخر بعيداً عن الطريق.
المصباح الواحد خلف زجاج ملون يعطي إضاءة محيطة وليس إضاءة مهام، مما يجعل Tobia شنقة مثالية بجانب السرير أو عند المدخل، وسبب إضافة إضاءة تحت الخزائن إذا كنت تستخدمها فوق سطح عمل. فوق الطاولة، علّق الجزء السفلي من الكرة 30–36″ فوق السطح؛ فوق طاولة بجانب السرير، اخفضها بحيث يجلس الزجاج تقريبًا على مستوى العين أثناء الجلوس أو أعلى، لأن النسيج المحكوك يكون أكثر وضوحًا من الجانب.
