Inspiration

The Briarvyn Table Lamp started from a climbing rose on an old iron garden arch: a twisted stem that winds up one way and curls back the other, small dark leaves along it, and roses opening wherever the stem turns. We bent that stem by hand into a tall S-curve of twisted brass, set six handmade ceramic roses and a run of leaves along it, and hung a single hand-shaped glass flower from the top curl, its petals fading from amber at the top to white at the edge. The whole vine stands on a round turned wooden base.

!
Handmade brass, ceramic and glass

The vine is bent and welded by hand from brass, the roses are shaped by hand in ceramic, and the thick glass shade is shaped by hand and kiln-fired for its color fade. Small marks of the handwork show on the glass, and no two lamps are exactly the same.

Key Features
Hand-Bent Brass Vine
H65 brass, bent, welded and polished by hand, then color-rubbed and sealed for an antique brass tone.
Handmade Ceramic Roses
Six roses shaped by hand in ceramic, in Pink or Red, set among dark leaves along the vine.
Thick Glass Flower Shade
A ruffled shade of hand-shaped thick glass, kiln-fired to fade from amber at the top to white at the edge.

FAQ
Pink or Red?
Pink roses read soft and romantic, for a bedroom, vanity or nursery. Red roses stand out more against the antique brass vine, for a living room, entryway or a Valentine’s Day gift. Both have the same amber-to-white glass shade and walnut-color rubberwood base.
Is it handmade?
Yes. The H65 brass vine is bent, welded and polished by hand, then color-rubbed and sealed, which helps it resist tarnish and rust. The ceramic roses and the thick glass shade are shaped by hand, so the glass shows small marks of the handwork and each lamp differs slightly.
How bright is it?
It takes one E12 or E14 bulb in Warm Light (3000K), shining through the thick glass flower. It gives a soft, warm glow for a bedside or entryway rather than reading light.
How do I turn it on?
It plugs into a standard outlet and turns on and off with the inline switch on the 150cm/59″ braided cord. The bulb is included.
